Uva Wellassa University to start academic activities

The academic activities of the Uva Wellassa University will recommence tomorrow, Higher Education Ministry said.

The Uva Wellassa University had been closed for a few weeks due to students' protests.

The Higher Education Ministry had taken steps to fulfil the demands of protesters when a team of undergraduates visited the ministry recently.

The students who are entitled for hostel facilities have to call over at their respective hostels prior to 5 pm today, Uva Wellassa University Registrar, Nilmini Diyabedanage said.
