Full house expected in Pallekelle

A full house is expected at the limited over cricket match between
Sri Lanka and India which is scheduled to commence at the Pallekelle
International Stadium tomorrow commencing at 2.30 p.m.
This was disclosed by the Secretary of the Kandy District Cricket
Association Roland Perera who was also the Venue Manager at last year’s
world cup matches played at Pallekelle.
Perera said said that the Kandy District CA will be jointly hosting
this match and also the Twenty20 match which will be played on the 7th
with the Central Province CA.
He said that the tickets have been selling out fast and the cricket
fans ware advised to purchase their tickets early to avoid any
unscrupulous individuals trying to make a fast on the sale of tickets by
way of black marketing. Already over 60 percent of the tickets had been
sold and they will be also available at the gates in advance.
The Secretary of the Central Province CA Janaka Pathirana said that
special arrangements have been made for transport facilities for the
cricket fans traveling towards Kandy, Digana, Teldeniya and Madawala
after the match. The security arrangements will be handled by both the
Police, Army and the private security organizations and arrangements
have been also made for the quick exit of the cricket fans after the
match to avoid any rush. There will be also plenty of drinking water
within the stadium. |
