Full house expected in Pallekelle

A full house is expected at the limited over cricket match between Sri Lanka and India which is scheduled to commence at the Pallekelle International Stadium tomorrow commencing at 2.30 p.m.

This was disclosed by the Secretary of the Kandy District Cricket Association Roland Perera who was also the Venue Manager at last year’s world cup matches played at Pallekelle.

Perera said said that the Kandy District CA will be jointly hosting this match and also the Twenty20 match which will be played on the 7th with the Central Province CA.

He said that the tickets have been selling out fast and the cricket fans ware advised to purchase their tickets early to avoid any unscrupulous individuals trying to make a fast on the sale of tickets by way of black marketing. Already over 60 percent of the tickets had been sold and they will be also available at the gates in advance.

The Secretary of the Central Province CA Janaka Pathirana said that special arrangements have been made for transport facilities for the cricket fans traveling towards Kandy, Digana, Teldeniya and Madawala after the match. The security arrangements will be handled by both the Police, Army and the private security organizations and arrangements have been also made for the quick exit of the cricket fans after the match to avoid any rush. There will be also plenty of drinking water within the stadium.
