Spa Ceylon partners SriLankan FlySmiLes
Spa Ceylon, the luxury chain of Ayurvedic spas and wellness product
range, is partnering with the SriLankan Airlines' frequent flyer
programme, FlySmiLes, to introduce a one of a kind co-branded loyalty
card.
FlySmiLes members will receive a host of benefits including
discounts, point accruals and redemptions when they use Spa Ceylon
products and services, and Spa Ceylon Platinum card holders will be able
to convert Spa Ceylon points to FlySmiLes' Miles as a result of this
partnership and co-branded card.

FlySmiLes is designed to make loyal customers of the airline feel
special and important by providing a wide range of benefits including
reward tickets, reward upgrades, excess baggage, and priority check-in
as well as various promotions carried out periodically. The program has
a large member base and a growing partner base comprising leisure,
travel and lifestyle sectors, enabling members to earn and redeem Miles
whenever they use partner services or products. Partnerships enable the
program to enhance its value proposition by offering premium benefits to
members. Similarly, FlySmiLes' partners also enjoy increased marketing
exposure and access to the FlySmiLes customer base worldwide. Mohamed
Fazeel, Head of Commercial Operations at SriLankan Airlines, stated, "FlySmiLes
equally values its partners and we are pleased to welcome aboard Spa
Ceylon, who have broken ground by infusing luxury and wellbeing into our
age old Ayurveda traditions."
Shiwantha Dias, Managing Director of Spa Ceylon said, "This
co-branded card is a first of its kind, as until now FlySmiLes'
co-branded cards have been with bank partners only. We are indeed proud
of our alliance with the National Carrier, and to be the first non-bank
partner to share a co-branded card with them, which is a significant
achievement given that Spa Ceylon was established just three years ago.
Globally, spa culture is growing and the modern consumer considers
leisure, lifestyle and indulgence factors when selecting a holiday
destination, therefore our alliance with SriLankan Airlines is both
fitting and appropriate."
Spa Ceylon, synonymous with Luxury Ayurveda, offers extensive spa
menus consisting of over 25 carefully designed signature treatments
inspired by Sri Lanka's rich Ayurveda heritage, and were nominees at the
prestigious 2011 Asia Spa Crystal Awards, dubbed the 'Oscars' of the spa
industry.
"We were nominated under the dual categories of Natural Product Line
and Spa Ritual of the Year; the spa ritual being for our 'Hot Sand
Massage Ritual', known as the 'Veli Pottani Thaweema', a tradition of
the ancient Royals," stated Dias. "Our intention is to enter 10 to 15 EU
markets starting with the UK by the end of the year."
"We also plan to set up our own retail operations in India around the
same time- as you can see, we intend taking Spa Ceylon and our age old
Ayurveda traditions across the globe and this latest affiliation with
the National Carrier is definitely a step in that direction," Dias said. |
