President visits ailing SLFP stalwart
President Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday paid a visit to former
Parliamentarian and SLFP stalwart Ananda Dassanayake who is receiving
treatment at the Intensive Care Unit of the Kandy General Hospital for a
serious ailment.
The President also spoke to members of the Dassanayake family and
inquired about his condition.
The former MP who is also a central committee member of the SLFP and
former Governor who served as a SLFP trade union leader, first entered
Parliament in 1960.
Minister Maithripala Sirisena was also present on the occasion. |
