PS chairman arrested for bad behaviour

Kataragama Police arrested the chairman of the Balapitiya Pradeshiya Sabha and another person for behaving violently under the influence of liquor in Kataragama city on Friday night.

Police found the other person to be one of the first suspects cousins. Consuming liquor in Kataragama city and the Sacred Area has been prohibited during the festive season. Kataragama Police are investigating.
