Ayurvedic doctor says has cancer cure formula

An Ayurvedic medical practitioner from Kandy, Dr Mahanama A Hapugoda
on Tuesday announced that he has developed a formula to cure cancer. The
formula has been used on patients requiring cancer treatment and proved
successful, he said.
Dr Hapugoda was speaking at a press conference at Hotel Ramada,
Colombo, where he proclaimed his cancer cure. The major medical bodies
are yet to review its effectiveness.
Displaying a sample of his purported cancer cure, which is a herbal
liquid formula by using a syringe to withdraw some of its content, Dr
Hapugoda said, “there is no need to fear cancer anymore as this will
completely destroy cancer cells.”
“The formula is made using over 200 wild plants and medicinal herbs.
It is based on the tradition of Sinhala Ayurveda,” he said.
“It has medicinal prowess to starve cancer cells to death after about
two months of treatment,” he said.
“The treatment will rule out both chemotherapy and radiation which
cause harmful side effects to patients,” he said.
Asked if he had got a patent for his cancer curing formula, he said
first of all he wanted to help cancer patients and added that he has
treated no less than 150 cancer patients since the development of the
cure. “They have been healed,” he said.
Pointing at two cancer patients and a son and a daughter of two other
cancer patients treated by him at the press conference, Dr Hapugoda
said, “there are only four cases to review how cancer treatment has
worked for them with the formula in question.
“There are at least 100 cancer sufferers with pathology reports who
have been treated by me at Zaasi Medical Centre at Bangalawatta
Junction, Lewella, Kandy, who have recovered from the disease.”
He said, “The treatment does not cost exorbitant sums as in the
system of English medicine, which cannot cure the disease.”
“I plan to heal cancer patients in the country. If I sell this
formula to another country, then they might produce pills to be sold to
us in return which our local patients will have to buy at exorbitant
sums,” he said. |
