Centre for Banking Studies conducts seminar in Kandy

Central Bank's Centre for Banking studies which runs an effective series of courses targeted at improving the professional knowledge of the Banking sector conducted a course on "Effective Credit Appraisal" at the Sinhaputhra Finance PLC auditorium recently.

The invitation was extended by Director Finance of Central Finance PLC and Managing Director of Sinhaputhra Ravana Wijeyeratne to the Director Centre for Banking Studies Udeni Allawattage.

Senior DGM Recoveries of Seylan Bank, Sunil Silva conducted an effective lecture over a full day, for 64 participants which included representatives from Cental Finance PLC, Singer Finance PLC, Swarnamahala Financial Services PLC and Sinhaputhra Finance PLC.

Sunil Silva's practical approach blended by his self studied principles was appreciated by the employees.

Wijeyeratne, MD of Sinhaputhra commented, that this may be one of the first time Finance companies have gotten together without an umbrella organization for their mutual benefit. This not for profit session organized collectively by these companies, have made such seminars extremely affordable allowing a larger participation.
