Awarding of credentials to Pradana Adhikarana Sanghanayake of
Australia
The Amarapura Sangha Sabha in collaboration with the Amarapura
Chapter will award the Pradana Adhikarana Sanghanayake to Chief
Incumbent of Australia Most Ven Naththarampotha Chandima thera.
It will be presented to Ven. Chandima thera on July 22 at the
Peradeniya Subodharama Mahaviharaya. Ven. Naththarampotha Chandima thera,
a senior pupil of the late Mahawatte Pemalankara Mahanayaka thera and
Pallegama Sumanathissa completed his primary education at Sangaraja
Pirivena and Henegama Sangananda Pirivena.
He graduated from the Peredeniya University and completed his Diploma
in English the same year. He has an MA degree from the Getambe
Dhammachackra Vidyapitaya. Thereafter he was a lecturer at the
Subodharama Ghanalankara International Training College. He went to
Australia for the propagation of Dhamma on the invitation of Ven.
Wattegama Dhammawasa in 1997. The Stupa constructed in Australia is a
significant religious work.
The thera presently residing at the Inala Buddhist monastery indulged
in Buddhist propaganda work for the dissemination of Buddhism in
Australia. Considering his unique service at home and abroad under the
patronage of the Most Ven. Amarapura Mahanayaka thera he will be awarded
the Pradana Adhikarana Sanghanayake of Australia at a ceremony on July
22. |
