Nursing training for A/L females

The Moneragala District branch of the National Apprentice and Technical Training Authority (NAITA) has launched a training program in nursing for GCE A/Level qualified females.

The Authority's Moneragala District Manager Sarath Vithanage said that the candidates will be given a training for a period of six months. They will be given a three month practical training in private hospitals.

They will have the opportunity of joining private nursing homes on completion of their training periods. Eighty five trainees have been already employed in private hospitals according to Vithanage.
