Title deeds for owners of Janasevana houses

The National Housing Development Authority (NHDA) will provide title deeds immediately to owners of Janasevana houses, NHDA Deputy General Manager (Information and Promotion) Dharma Sri Kariyawasam said.

"Construction, Engineering Services, Housing and Common Amenities Minister Wimal Weerawansa directed NHDA officials to provide title deeds immediately to Janasevana housing beneficiaries who have completed reimbursements," he said.

The Deputy General Manager said about 2,331 title deeds were provided in 2010 and about 2,151 were provided in 2011. About 1,249 deeds were provided in fist six months of this year.

A title deed awarding ceremony will be held on July 23 at 4pm at the Seewalipura Housing Scheme, Borella under Minister Weerawansa's patronage.

NHDA chairman Jayantha Samaraweera and other officials will also participate.
