Prelate lauds PM's dedication, courage

He said the Prime Minister's efforts to uplift places of Buddhist
religious worship by visiting every temple in the island should be
appreciated by everybody.
Speaking at a special religious programme at the Prime Minister's
official residence on Wednesday, Ven Kusaladhamma Thera said Prime
Minister Jayaratne is a far-sighted leader.
"He has the strength and courage to reach his targets. He is taking
measures to lead the citizens towards a virtuous society. The Maha
Sanghas' blessings will always be with the Prime Minister to carry
forward his tasks successfully," the prelate said. Asgiri Chapter Karaka
Sangha Sabika Ven Medagama Dhammananda Thera, Buddhist Affairs
Commissioner General Chandraprema Gamage, Prime Minister's Private
Secretary Anuradha Jayaratne and officers of the Prime Minister's Office
and the Buddha Sasana and Religious Affairs Ministry were also present. |
