Chain snatcher nabbed

A person who committed crimes including snatching three gold chains was arrested by Marawila Police on Sunday. The suspect arrested at Horagolla in Hattiniya was involved in snatching gold chains and earrings from women in Mahawewa, Talwila and Marawila.

Marawila Police seized the snatched jewellery from his possession and a motorcycle used in the thefts. The suspect was remanded until July 16 by the Marawila magistrate.
