Appointed Ampara District SLFP Organizer

Keerthi Sri Weerasinghe has been appointed SLFP District Organizer for Ampara District.President Mahinda Rajapaksa handed over the letter of appointment to Weerasinghe at Temple Trees.

Weerasinghe, who received his primary education at Saddhatissa Maha Vidyalaya, Ampara, studied for a medical degree at the Medical Faculty of Kelaniya University.

He has held various posts, such as, Chairman of Coconut Development Authority, Working Director of Tea Research Institute Executive Director of Elkaduwa Plantation, a member of the All Ceylon Committee of Sri Lanka Freedom Party and Executive Committee Member of Sri Lanka Independent Professional Forum.

Keerthi Sri Weerasinghe is the son of late Edmund Weerasinghe, an active employee of Gal Oya Development Board during its founding years, has worked with dedication for the uplift of SLFP.

Weerasinghe is presently working as the Co-ordinating Secretary on to the Minister of Buddha Sasana and Religious Affairs.

After receiving the letter of appointment as the SLFP Organizer of Digamadulla from President Mahinda Rajapaksa, Weerasinghe pledged to work with dedication to identify problems of the people of Digamadulla and find necessary remedies for such problems. He extended his heartfelt gratitude to the President for appointing him as SLFP District Organizer.
