Strike called off

Following discussions held at the Labour and Labour Relations Ministry, the non academic staff of the unversities agreed to call off their strike and report for duty from today.

The members of the Inter University United Workers Union came to this decision after having discussions with Labour and Labour Relations Minister Gamini Lokuge and officials of the University Grants Commission.
