Trinity in easy win over Ibbagamuwa Central

It took Trinity College just 6-4 overs to register the win when they trounced a hapless Ibbagamuwa Central College by 10 wickets in their Schools Under-17 Division One Cricket Tournament Match played at Ibbagamuwa yesterday.

Taking the bowling hounours for the Trinitians was right arm off spinner Ravin Sayer who in a fine spell of bowling by capturing 8 for 14 off 8.3 overs.

Ibbagamuwa Central openers put on 20 before being separated but they lost all their wickets for the addition of 19 runs. From 20 for no loss they slumped to 33 for 7 before being skittled out for 39.

Trinity hit off the 40 runs required for victory in the seventh over.

Ibbagamuwa Central College: 39 all out in 24.3 overs (Ravin Sayer 8 for 14).

Trinity College: 42 for no loss in 6.4 overs (Kavin Hiniduma 21 n.o, Lushan Weerasinghe 11 n.o).
