Two ex- Isipathanians feted

Two distinguished old boys of Isipathana College, Colombo were felicitated at the prize distribution ceremony at John de Silva Theatre on June 8.

Channa Wijewardena of the Channa - Upuli Performing Arts Foundation Dance Troupe was felicitated for bringing fame to Sri Lanka by being placed first at the Carnival of Culture in Berlin, Germany in May 2012. Dr Mervyn Gunasekera was felicitated for being awarded with 'Eminence in Engineering' by the Institution of Engineers of Sri Lanka, the highest award for an engineer in Sri Lanka.

The award was made in recognition for his outstanding accomplishments and achievements in the field of engineering, professionalism and for his pursuit of eminence in the practice of his profession.
