AIS U-14 cager champs

Asian International School beat Azhar Central Akurana in the final (90 - 72) to win the all Island Schools boys under-14 basketball championships 2012 at the AIS courts.

This year, 68 schools took part in this tournament and Asian International School was the only unbeaten team. A.I.S fought hard to win over S. Thomas' Mt. Lavinia in the semi-finals which they won 67-63.

Taher Akbarally of A.I.S was adjudged most valuable player of the tournament and Shazon Perera of A.I.S the best defensive player. S. Thomas' Mt. Lavina beat C.I.S Colombo in the consolation final. The tournament was conducted by the Sri Lanka Schools Basketball Association. The chief guest at the final was Senior Vice President of Sri Lanka Basketball Federation, senior D.I.G Retd. I.P Kanagaratan.
