‘Attempts to make SL crimes hub’

Immigration and Emigration Controller General Chulananda Perera yesterday said it appears that human smugglers at international level were attempting to use Sri Lanka as a crime hub for criminal activities considering the frequency at which smugglers were arrested in the recent past.

He made this observation when asked about the arrest of 27 foreigners attempting to migrate illegally to Australia.
