UK delegation visits Sri Lanka
Creating opportunities to enhance diplomatic ties in promoting the
destination, Sri Lanka Tourism promotion Bureau received a five member
delegation from the "Consular Corps of London" at the Bandaranaike
International Airport on Monday for a familiarization tour of Sri Lanka.

The executive committee member delegation will be touring Sri Lanka
from June 11-19 to update their knowledge about various new developments
taking place in the country and to conduct several official meetings
with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sri Lanka Tourism Promotions
Bureau and Ministry of Economic Development, to understand better
opportunities of promoting and facilitating the destination promotion
through diplomatic support.
The tour of the Consular Corps was organized by Sri Lankan High
Commission in U.K coordinated by Ministry Counselor Chaminda Kularathne.
Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau is the official host and facilitator
during their stay in Sri Lanka.
Established in 1902, the Consular Corps of London is an association
of all London based consul generals, consuls, honorary consuls and
career diplomats involved in consular and immigration matters in the
diplomatic service. Sri Lankan High Commission in UK together with Sri
Lanka Tourism Promotions Bureau, has organized this tour as part of the
image building exercise by exposing the ground reality of post-conflict
Sri Lanka among the diplomatic community in UK.
