'India Show' in Colombo in August
The 'India Show' will be held in Colombo in August, Indian High
Commission officials said.
The High Commission's Commercial and Economic Counsellor M Manish
said with the support of the Commerce and Industry Ministry, the
Confederation of Indian Industry will be organising the ‘India Show’ in
Colombo from August 3 to 5 at the BMICH.
The 'India Show' will coincide with the visit of Indian Commerce,
Industry and Textiles Minister Anand Sharma.
The show is organised to promote Indian technology and services to
increase trade between India and Sri Lanka; to provide a platform for
Indian companies to showcase their strengths and capabilities; to
attract Indian investment in Sri Lanka; and provide opportunities to Sri
Lankan businessmen to develop linkages with prospective Indian partners.
The main features of 'India Show' are three days of exhibition at the
BMICH from August 3 to 5, business conference; one-to-one meetings;
visit of business delegation; visit of high-level ministerial
delegation; cultural evening and gala dinner. A food festival and Indian
wine sampling will also be organised to coincide with 'India Show'.
Over Indian companies are expected to participate in the event. |
