Students of Vijitha Central to benefit with new sports facilities

Students of Vijitha Central College Dikwella will have the use of two new Volleyball courts and a Netball court by the end of June. The swimming pool which should have been completed an year ago should be commissioned within a few months too. The Volleyball courts are a gift from the Volleyball Federation while the swimming pool is funded by the Ministry of sports.

Vijitha Central College Dikwella is the Sports school in the Matara district and one of few schools in the island which can boast of having an Athletics and Football ground with a 400 meter running track. It has two other Volleyball Courts gifted by the Universita Cattolica of Milan in 2005.
