Maharoof, CMC Opposition Leader

Colombo Municipal Council Member Mohammed Maharoof was appointed CMC Opposition Leader.Meanwhile, Opposition members of the Colombo Municipal Council have planned to bring a no confidence motion next month against Mayor A.J.M. Mussammil on allegations of corruption and malpractices, Mohammed Maharoof said.

The post had been vacant after former CMC Opposition Leader Milinda Moragoda’s decision to resign from the post of the Leader of the Opposition of the Colombo Municipal Council and also as a member of the CMC.
