WPC member re-remanded

The UPFA member of the Western Provincial Council was remanded on May 22 in connection with the alleged murder of a businessman in Sangattikulam, Anamaduwa. He was produced before Puttalam District Judge and Magistrate Heshantha de Mel on Thursday and reremanded till June 7.

Apart from the Provincial Council member, three soldiers are also in remand custody in connection with the alleged murder committed on December 10, 2011.
