Two nabbed with counterfeit notes

Two youths with 48 counterfeit notes in the denomination of Rs 100 were arrested in Kahawatta, Morathotamulla, Palmadulla area by Palmadulla Police yesterday.

The suspects are residents of Badulla and had come to Kahawatta in a trishaw, the Police said.

The suspects were nabbed on suspicion while purchasing a phone card from a shop.

Investigations are continuing .

The suspects will be produced before court.
