Religious ceremonies mark Abans retail channel anniversary
Abans, the leader in electronics and home appliances have made
arrangements to mark the 15th anniversary of their retail channel with
several religious observances in Kandy tomorrow.
The celebrations begin at 9am at the Sri Dalada Maligawa where alms
will be given to 100 Buddhist monks. A dansela will also be held where
food will be distributed to over 5,000 people.
Simultaneously, a special religious programme will be held at Al-Madrasathul
Jamilhudah Jumma Mosque, Mawilmada, Kandy.
The programme will consist of several events organised by the Madrasa
children, recitation of dua, followed by lunch.
A special Roman Catholic Mass will also be held at St Paul's Church,
Kandy at 10am to invoke blessings on the Abans Group of Companies.
School uniform material, schoolbooks and stationery items will be
distributed to orphans of Innacia Memorial Home for Children , Janaraja
Mawatha, Pallegama, Halloluwa and Kandy which will be followed by lunch.
Religious observances will also be held at the Hindu kovil in Kandy. |
