JHU marks Ranaviru Day

Jathika Hela Urumaya held a special ceremony to mark the third anniversary of the victory over terrorism and bringing the country under one flag, at the Mihindu Seth Medura recently under the patronage of Power and Energy Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka.

A special Ranaviru hospitality programme was held on May 20 where they spent time with War Heroes all day.

They also conducted a Sangika Dana with the participation of War Heroes who are receiving treatment at the Mihindu Seth Medura. Members of the Maha Sanga invoked blessings on these War Heroes who became disabled during the war period and transferred merit to the war heroes who sacrificed their lives to protect the motherland.

Minister Ranawaka distributed gifts to War Heroes. Gampaha district MP Athuraliye Rathana thera delivered an anusasana.
