NSB report to Parliament

The Auditor General’s Department is to render a detailed report on the NSB stock market deal issue to Parliament.

Senior Government Minister D E W Gunasekera told the Daily News that the Auditor General’s Department is currently conducting the audit of the controversial Rs 390 million stock market transaction. Minister Gunasekera said,

“The NSB issue is under full investigation. It will figure in Parliament once the Auditor General has rendered his detailed audit report on the conduct of the transactions to Parliament.”

The Director Board of the NSB resigned after the incident.
