Vidyartha edge out Kingswood

Vidyartha College edged out Kingswood College 10-9 on penalty strokes in a thriller in their Kandy School Boys Under 19 Hockey Tournament match organized by the Kandy District Schools Hockey Association and played at the University grounds, Peradeniya.

This match turned out to be an evenly contested affair with both teams dishing out fine hockey.When the final whistle was sounded the score stood scoreless.

When the penalty tie breaker system was implemented both teams were in equal term. When one team scored, the other team equalized. This went on till the penalty stroke when the Vidyarthians forged ahead by a single goal.
