The cremation of Ven Kapuhempala Anurawansa thera, the Chief
Incumbent of Welipotha Athulanandanaramaya in Akmeemana, Galle who
passed away last Sunday will take place this evening at the temple
cremation abode.
The Nayaka Thera who had received his primary education at Akmeemana
Maitipe Vijaya K.V. and higher education at Nittambuwa Vidyananda
Pirivena is an M.A. degree holder of Kelaniya University.
The Venerable Thera is the principal of Sri Pannaloka Dhamma School
and a long time teacher of Buddhism at All Saints College, Galle. Ven
Anurawansa Thera was an erudite member of the Maha Sangha who rendered a
committed religious, social and cultural service to the country.
