Mahamaya Girls College, Kandy won the Girls Championship and Trinity
College, Kandy won the Boys Championship at the Annual Circuit Athletic
Meet organized by the Department of Education, Kandy over the weekend at
the Bogambara ground, Kandy.
Over 4,000 athletes from 52 boys schools and 48 girls schools
participated in this meet and it was held for four days.
The Chief Guest at the opening ceremony was the Chief Minister of
Central Province, Sarath Ekanayake. The Chief Guest of the final day was
the Governor of Central Province, Tikiri Kobbekaduwa. |
