'The Governor of Central province, Tikiri Kobbekaduwa, an Old Boy of
Trinity College, entertained the victorious cricket team of Trinity
College, Kandy on the 13th of May 2012 at his Residence as they recorded
a victory over St Anthony's College in their Big Match after a period of
26 years.
The Governor in his speech told that he has promised the Cricketers
of Trinity that if they win the Big Match he will celebrate it with the
team and as promised he entertained them with dinner and presented
mementos to the team members. The Principal of Trinity College, Brig.
Udaya Ariyaratne, Prefect-of-Games, A Somasinghe, Captain of the Trinity
Cricket team Niroshan Dikwella, Vice Captain Janishka Premasinghe, last
year's Captain Akila Jayasundera, Coach Sampath Perera,
Master-in-charge, A Vishnuwarden and some distinguished old boys of
Trinity College were present on that occasion. |
