The inaugural 30-overs per side annual big match named 'Battle of the Greens' between two of the oldest education institutions T.B. Jayah Zahira College, Slave Island and Arethusa College, Colombo 6 will be played today at the Colombo Malay ground. The Slave Island lads will be led by medium pacer Iqlas Ismail while wicketkeeper Ishanka Rohana will lead the Arathusa Xl.

Arethusa College, which has a proud history since 1929, has been performing to the best of their abilities with the limited resources available to them and even entered the second round of the All Island Schools cricket tournament in 1998. Furthermore, they have won third place in the Colombo South Educational Division cricket tournament in 2012.

T.B. Jayah Zahira College has also shown their cricket prowess by meeting and defeating many schools. Motivation for the game has been given by the teachers in charge and the prefects.

Their Old Boys Association has also extended their unstilted support.
