Mahamaya and Trinity champions

Mahamaya Girls College (girls) and Trinity College (boys) became overall champions at the Kandy Education Zone Inter-School Athletic Championship organised by the Department of Education, Kandy and worked off at the Bogambara Stadium, Kandy yesterday.

In the championship standings for girls Mahamaya Girls College with 242 points annexed the title.

Sri Rahula National School finished runnerup with 162 points St Anthony's Girls College, Katugastota finished second runner up with 114 points.

Trinity College retained the overall boys championship title for yet another year with 195 points.

But not far behind in second place with 185 points was St Sylvester College, Kandy.

Ranabima Royal College finished third with 164 points.
