Child molest case: five granted bail

Five men who allegedly molested a five-year-old child were granted bail.

The first suspect was enlarged on Rs 10,000 cash bail by Fort magistrate Kaniska Wijeratne yesterday while the other four suspects were enlarged on Rs100,000 surety bail with two sureties.

One suspect is the child’s uncle while some suspects are juveniles.

Slave Island police took the suspects into custody.
