Ven Vimalajothi forms Bikshu Bala Sena

Buddhist Cultural Centre Director Ven Kirama Vimalajothi Thera has set up an organization named Bhikshu Bala Sena to protect the Buddhasasana from the threats posed by various conspirators and detractors. The inaugural meeting was held at the Buddhist Cultural Centre under the patronage of Kirama Vimalajothi Thera.

The Thera told the Daily News that certain people calling themselves Buddhists who claim to have various supernatural powers are spreading conflicting views about Buddhism, Buddhist thoughts and beliefs. They posed the biggest threat to the existence and perpetuation of Buddhism in its pristine purity, the Thera said.

Anybody who wishes to provide their services can join the Bhikshu Bala Sena, the Thera said.
