In English, the asana is called ‘the elevated lotus posture’ because
the entire body (resembling a lotus) is lifted off the ground using both
hands.
This asana is also known as Dolasana or Lolasana.
It is more difficult than the padmasana because in this asana the
whole body is balanced on both the hands.
Step 1: Sit in the padamsana pose. Keep your spine straight. Place
both your palms on each side of your hip.
While inhaling, slowly lift your body above the ground level.
The weight of the entire body should rest solely on your palms.
Step 2: Maintain this posture till you can hold your breath.
The picture shows a front view of the pose. Slowly lower your body
back to the normal position while exhaling.
