| Inmates of Welikada prison busy
erecting a Vesak pandal to adorn the entrance to the prison
during the Vesak season. The pandal which will be 40 feet in
height will be decorated with 10,000 electric lights to
depict the Kulawaka Jathaka story. The Vesak programme at
the prison directed by the Rehabilitation and Prison Reforms
Ministry is supervised by Welikada Prison Superintendent
