Pillow fight death mars Avurudhu festival

A youth who became unconscious during a pillow fight ( kotta pora ) at a New Year festival at Crooswatte Stadium, died at the Colombo National Hospital on Tuesday, two days after the incident.

Police said Sonal Sanjaya, 18, from Wewala, Ja-Ela was admitted to the National Hospital after becoming unconscious while participating in a pillow fight on April 28. The post mortem was due yesterday. Ja- Ela Police are investigating.
