Thurstan in easy 34-0 win

Thurstan College scored an easy 34 points(two goals and four tries) to nil win over C. W. W. Kannangara Vidyalaya,Borella. In their Singer segment one "B" division Rugby League Tournament match played at Ratmalana yesterday.

The Thurstanites who dominated the game from the beginning scored 14 points including two goals in the first half, without giving single chance to their opponents. Kalana Higuralaarachchi scored both tries in the first half with Janith Chathuranga converting both tries.

In the second half, Thurstan College scored another four tries through Thiwanka Randika(two) and Kalana Higuraarachchi (two) which were not converted.

Thurstan College were in a strong position through out the match and they were able to pose a threat to their rivals with their strong running.

This is Thurstan's second successive win having beaten Lumbini by (17-5) last week.
