Chrys Gunarathne Memorial TT begins

The Chrys Gunaratne Memorial Open All Island Ranking Table Tennis Championship - 2012 will be worked off from today to April 29 at the S Thomas' Indoor Stadium, Mount Lavinia.

The Table Tennis Association of Sri Lanka (TTASL) has organized the Championship and Coca-Cola supporting Active, Healthy Lifestyles came forward to sponsor the tournament for the first time.

The TTASL has decided to award two Coca-Cola challenge trophies to the Most Outstanding Players, both in men's and women's categories. There will be men's and women's Open singles events along with age group single events for under 10 to 18 girls and boys.

Meanwhile the TTASL has appointed Kegalle Districy MP and Kegalle District Table Tennis Association President Kanaka Herath as the Chairman of the association's Tournament Committee.
