Bomb found in paddy field

A 60 mm 18 inch long bomb was discovered in a paddy field in Marichchikattuwa on Wednesday. The motor bomb was handed over to Mundalama Police.

The discovery was made by a farmer named K A Premasiri.

The army detachment in Puttalam were called in to defuse the bomb. Police are conducting investigations to find out the persons who had left the ammunition piece in the paddy field.
