Notice issued on Mirihana Police OIC to show cause

Colombo Additional Magistrate Prasanna Alwis yesterday issued notice on Mirihana Police OIC to show cause as to why contrary to Attorney General’s advice action has not been initiated against UNP parliamentary elections candidate Susil Kindelpitiya, earlier taken into custody by Mirihana Police for allegedly traveling with two men and a woman in a vehicle in which a fire arm was found.

The notice is returnable on May 14.

The woman named Nirupadika Dahanayake alleged to have been kidnapped later retracted her claim of kidnapping .

Two suspects had been earlier enlarged on bail.
