Hindu-Buddhist Association strengthening national harmony

The Hindu Buddhist Association is working closely to strengthen
religious and national harmony between the two ethnic groups, the
Association's Sri Lanka coordinator Arulnesaratnam Ravikumar said.

He said the Association's Sri Lanka branch recently donated
educational equipment to Jaffna schoolchildren.
The event coincided with the ceremony to felicitate the Most Ven
Atambagaskada Saddharma Keerthi Sri Sumana Siddhartha who was appointed
the new deputy chief incumbent of the Northern Province.
The ceremony at the Nagavihara in Jaffna was organised by the
Security Forces Headquarters in Jaffna.
International Hindu Buddhist Association president T Logeswaran sent
funds for the ceremony, Ravikumar said.
Buddhist, Hindu, Muslim and Catholic children in the Jaffna district
received donations. |
