Market closes marginally higher

The market closed marginally higher yesterday ending a four day losing streak.

The Colombo benchmark index, the All Share Price Index (ASPI) climbed a marginal 0.09% (5 points) whilst the Milanka Price Index (MPI) ended in the opposite direction, losing 0.54% (26.18 points) over Tuesday's close. The ASPI and the MPI ended the day at 5,445.01 points and 4,860.62 points respectively.

Market turnover improved to Rs.391.41 million. The major contributors to the days' market turnovers were Keells Hotels (KHL), Carsons Cumberbatch (CARS), Softlogic Holdings, John Keells Holdings (JKH) and CIC Holdings.
