Delegation from SL embassy in Paris meets Che Guevara's daughter

A delegation from the embassy of Sri Lanka in Paris attended "Death and Rebirth", a symphony played on the occasion of the 45th death anniversary of the Cuban revolutionary Ernesto Che Guevara on April 19, 2012.

The event took place in the presence of Dr. Aleida Guevara, the eldest daughter of Che. Also present at the occasion were: Orlando Requeijo Gual -Ambassador of Cuba to France, Orlando Requeijo Prof. Albert Jacquard, Jean Cornier, author of several books on the Guerrillero Heroico, Canadian astrophysicist Hubert Reeves and René Burri -whose photographs of Che Guevara are iconic.

As Ambassador Dayan Jayatilleka was unable to attend due to consultations in Sri Lanka, he nominated a delegation composed of Ms. Theruni Sebastiampillai and Ms. Kamaya Jayatissa to represent him.
