Chinese CP team to visit SL in May

A group of representatives of the Chinese Communist Party will tour Sri Lanka from May 17 to 20 on an invitation extended by the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP).

Outgoing Chinese ambassador Yang Xiuping who called on SLFP General Secretary and Health Minister Maithripala Sirisena recently said China will continue to extend its fullest support towards Sri Lanka's development.

Minister Sirisena said Sri Lanka appreciates the support extended by China.

A similar delegation representing the Chinese Communist Party visited Sri Lanka to study the system that functions in the country. The SLFP always works together with the Chinese Communist Party, the minister said.
