President to open new building complex

President Mahinda Rajapaksa will declare open the newly constructed “C” building in the Matara District Secretariat Complex today, District Secretary W.K.K. Atukorala said.

The government has spent Rs140 million for the construction of this three storeyed building, she said.

“It will be another step to provide an efficient government service in keeping with the Mahinda Chinthana future vision programme, she explained. All sectors under the Public Administration and Local Government Ministry in the Southern Province will be shifted to this new building”, she said.

“This building has all modern facilities, including a computer training institute for government officers and sports facilities”, she said.
