Noritake to open branch in Kollupitiya
Noritake Lanka Porcelain will open an exclusive branch in the heart
of Colombo City on April 4 at Kollupitiya to cater to high end foreign
and local visitors with an investment of Rs 5 million. Noritake Lanka
Manager Marketing and Sales Kumara Wickrama Jayaweera said .
He said the new location will give lot of convenience to clients
specially during the pre Sinhala Hindu New Year season. Apart from that
the Company has decided to open this branch to make the public aware
about the brand and its attractive novel designs. A well trained team of
five staff members are available at the show room to explain everything
about Noritake to its clients. It will also be an attraction to tourists
during their city tour in Colombo which will provide customer
information as well. Tours to Noritake factory in Matale are organized
from this point to those who are interested in visiting the factory.
All the latest designs of fine china are manufactured in Noritake's
factory in Matale. At present the company produces one million pieces of
ceramics per month. It has the capacity to manufacture 500,000 pieces.
Noritake products manufactured in Sri Lanka are exported to global
markets especially to USA, earning valuable foreign exchange to Sri
Lanka. The new trend is high demand for its exclusive bone China
products Jayaweera said.
