Interim Committees for AASL and SLNF

Administrations of the Sri Lanka Athletic Association and Sri Lanka Netball Federation have been given in the hands of interim committees by the sports ministry.

An Interim Committee headed by Brigadier Priyantha Samarathunnga has been appointed with effect from April 1, 2012 to take over the administration of Sri Lanka Athletic Association which will be suspended from its registration from today.

Sports Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage has taken the decision according to the power vested on him under chapter 32 of 1973- 25 Sports Act.

AASL Interim Committee :

President: Brigadier Priyantha Samarathunga, Secretary: Dr Dhammika Senaratne, Committee Members: Air Commodore Nalin de Silva, Panduka Keerthinanda, K P Nanapala.

Netball Interim Committee :

President: Thamara Dharmakeerthi, Secretary: Kumuduni Gomez, Treasure: Vijitha Rathnayaka, Committee members: K R D C Ratnamudali, Chandrani Pathiraja, Yasa Ramachandra, Yasmin Dharmaratne, Sherob Salami and Shiromy Kuruppu
