Musaeus take under 15 hockey title

Musaeus College, Colombo won their maiden hockey title when they became all island schools under 15 girls champions when they beat the strong St Anthony's Girls College, Kandy 2-0 in the finals played at the Sir Albert Stadium, Nattandiya. At half time Musaeus stickers led 1-0.

This was also the first time a girls hockey tournament was organized in the Puttalam district and the organizing committee headed by the Vice President of Sri Lanka Schools Hockey Association and Rector of Joseph Vaz College, Wennappuwa Rev Fr Priyangi Gunaratne did an excellent job.

The President of Sri Lanka Hockey Federation and DIG Puttalam Range Sumith Edirisinghe was the chief guest and distributed the main awards along with guest of honour and President of Sri Lanka Schools HA Dampe Wanasinghe.
